Taylormade Golf honoring Disabled Veterans with Custom Clubs           Dick’s Sporting Goods does fittings

The Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA), with the support of Dick’s Sporting Goods received fittings for their new custom TaylorMade clubs. 

We had the privilege and honor to fit these disabled veterans for custom golf clubs.  They have physical disabilities and working through post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), some of the stories I heard filled my heart.  Golf has given the veterans I met a sense of freedom and camaraderie, a chance to leave the house (some were not), enjoy each other’s company with some much needed laughter.  They are learning to play golf through an organization called Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA).  They are excited to play in the “Hear The Music” Mental Health Awareness Golf Classic.  So far two teams have been sponsored and others are waiting for sponsorship.  It is a huge challenge to get people to understand what’s happening and about the needs and my goodness to even listen.  But I’ll keep going at it until you and more people “Hear The Music.”  We are looking forward to you joining in as we work to build an orchestra with music that people will listen too and learn to appreciate.  Share the flyer I have posted many times and will post again.  We need golfers, sponsors and for more people to care!
