Cristóbal “Cris” Krusen on “Hear the Music”

Are you familiar with the movie “The Soloist”? It stars Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. The plot is based on the true story of Nathaniel Ayers, a musician who developed schizophrenia and became homeless.

Some years ago, I heard Nathaniel’s sister, Jennifer Ayers-Moore, speak at a NAMI conference in St. Paul and we became friends. She has recently published a book entitled “Hear the Music, Memoirs from the Sister of the Soloist”. If you have ears to hear, you will “hear the music” in Jennifer’s story and be a better person for it. You should also know that Jennifer uses proceeds from book sales to purchase socks for agencies caring for people with mental health conditions.
